Snapshot

Chain ID: passage-2 | Latest Version Tag: 2.4.0

Snapshots allows a new node to join the network by recovering application state from a backup file. Snapshot contains compressed copy of chain data directory. To keep backup files as small as plausible, snapshot server is periodically beeing state-synced.

Snapshots are taken automatically every 24 hours

Instructions

Stop the service and reset the data

sudo systemctl stop passage
cp $HOME/.passage/data/priv_validator_state.json $HOME/.passage/priv_validator_state.json.backup
rm -rf $HOME/.passage/data

Download latest snapshot

curl -L https://snapshots.stakeandrelax.net/snapshots/passage/snapshot_latest.tar.lz4 | tar -Ilz4 -xf - -C $HOME/.passage
mv $HOME/.passage/priv_validator_state.json.backup $HOME/.passage/data/priv_validator_state.json

Add seeds

sed -i -e "s|^seeds *=.*|seeds = \"[email protected]:15656\"|" $HOME/.passage/config/config.toml

Restart the service and check the log

sudo systemctl start passage && sudo journalctl -u passage -f --no-hostname -o cat
